SWE’s at Snap hows the work life balance? I have looked at reviews and I’m seeing mixed results. On Glassdoor it seems like in Seattle engineers don’t like the wlb, but in Santa Monica and SF I see less complaints. TC 150k YOE: 3
Define good. I don’t think you can get away with less than 40 hours in most teams. I do about 50 ish. And so do most in my team.
When I interviewed a couple of years ago and asked someone about WLB they said "oh it's pretty good, we haven't had to work any weekends yet this year"... In early February 😱😱😱
It’s bad. You could get away with slacking on some less visible teams, but it was rare. Now with the bottom 10% basically getting PIPed, it’s become amazon.
Most my teammates work late into evenings/weekends. Can’t get by with <=40 due to stack rank
I wake up at 10:30 and work till 6, it's pretty ok. Again team dependant
Stay away from monetization
I've heard of some people having good work life balance. Last two years I've consistently have done 50-70. Maybe a few weeks < 40. On the other hand, you'll more than double your TC if you get L4.
About 35 hours for me
Which org? How’s the wlb in infrastructure org?
How's the security team's WLB?

Screw it. Don't care anymore. Let Israel take it. One state solution.
