how’s the WLB for AWS solution architects? 40 hr/wk? or is it dependent on your assigned projects?
Yeah I’m getting that vibe after reading the Glassdoor reviews. I was thinking about a side gig, will be tough from the looks of it
Side gigs are possible. I managed one. :) I also had no life.
I usually do no more than 40 hr/wk. Every once and awhile I may do some work at night. Never had laptop open after 5pm Friday to 8am Monday morning (unless it’s a conference like reinvent). I’d say 50% of my team is like this, the other 50% are studying (certs) and working on side projects of their choosing and therefore putting in more hours. Several managers told me during my ramp to learn to say no and push back. Prioritize your time on winning deals and you’ll be fine
40 hr/wk is minimum. If you are lucky you can keep it close to that.
