"Sales for Grubhub, Uber Eats, DoorDash Inc. and Postmates Inc. are growing, according to the companies and credit-card data. But increased costs to fund promotions and safety equipment on one hand, and pressure to reduce commissions for strapped restaurants on the other, have created an even worse financial proposition for food-delivery companies." https://archive.md/o07Eq #ubereats #doordash #grubhub #postmates
I doubt most people are using these food delivery service 3 times/day. Wfh gave me more time to actually prepare my own food. I buy enough grocery to last me about 2 weeks. This helps me save A LOT of money. I havent used any food delivery service since sht hit the fan (except if it is to only deliver groceries)
If these companies can't make money even with a captive customer base (thanks the lockdown) there business model is flawed and they're mostly doomed for failure.
Yea and we still have a ton of people crying out loud that these food delivery companies are the evil in their lives taking all the money away from restaurants and customers.
