How long would you want to wait ?
Move to Canada?
Move to New Zealand ?
Move to Home country?
Start making phone calls to law makers ?
Get some self respect - call out American corporate greed ?
Any suggestions?

You can stay on h1b forever. It doesn't really limit your potential in any way. Your children will still be US citizen and at some point, they will be able to apply for a family-based GC for you. In the meantime, keep making bank with you high TC tech job.

Yes it's inconvenient, but assess your best alternative to determine if that's more or less inconvenient than your current situation.

You can also try to fix your own country first and support to put a country cap on H1B visas. The 85,000 H-1B work visas granted each year, and an estimated 70% go to Indians. Indian outsourcing firms like Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which provides low-cost back-office services, are now the biggest employers of H-1B workers.

India does not award H1bs to Indians. American business and USCIS do.

Accenture, IBM, Google, Microsoft are American companies which hire a lot of people on H1b. Even TCS operates in US as per US rules. If US does not want TCS to hire people on H1b then US will have to fix that law, not India. Get educated!

Maybe you want to go back to 1800s and early 1900s when people were judged and limited based on race, color, country. Please move to Iran or Saudi, you seem to be more culturally fit there. In US we don’t consider country of origin for employment

If I did not have a time-bound path to a green card (<5 years), I would not depend on the USA. I would suggest applying for jobs and a PR in Canada/Australia, which you can do in parallel while working in the USA.

That said, S386 is closer to passing than it has ever been. Definitely make the effort to organize people who are in a similar situation as you, and if you do it well, the bill is sure to pass.

The bill has bipartisan support, and even those who blocked the bill from unanimous consent voiced their support for it.

It is sure to pass, mark my words.

It is only a matter of when.
