Walmart Indian managers have tie up with consultancy
One lady Bay area recruiter(consultancy) called me and said that companies like eBay PayPal linkedin Walmart labs won't hire full time cause the managers have tie ups with consultancy companies and hence they reject and will force contract work on you .Is that true? She claims that the managers and these contract staffing firms have some tie and they pay them for those roles.I really wanted to know if it's true and if Bay area interviews are just an eye wash this is for SDE positions
I did post to hr on a popular site and named the consultancy no action has been taken

What do you mean by “reject and force contract work on you”?? Scratching my head real hard to comprehend your statement.
They still interview you but reject anyway, I guess.
Sometimes they can use candidate’s desperation to hire them under contract role instead of full time but they use company resources to identify candidates
So the consultancy and the manager have a cut ..and they reject full time candidates and choose other candidates (from flexton) for contract work as the position is not filled
There is one thing to extract work from you giving you hope for full-time and another thing to do it via threat to end your contract. Both are bad but which is worst is up to you to decide? Many other companies even don't consider about extracting work. Don't join atleast as a contractor there.
kickbacks are legal in US , unlike in India. lots of Desi Mgrs in the DC area make more than their salary. The usual cut is 10% of the pay rate, so if you can establish 5 for $100/hr that would translate to 5x10x(2000 hrs) ~= 1000000 per annum. Gov funded projects usually have bill rates bit lower, but the same can be said about ebay and others. Good luck with ethics watchdog, its like neighbours of a druglord never finds out about the neighbour

Yeah they don't fake resumes but the way that lady yapped saying Walmart won't hire full time like she owned that place ..
