Last week I got a ping on LinkedIn about a role in Walmart labs bay area office. (interestingly I got rejection from Amazon on the same day. ) I don't have high hopes from the company, but exactly how bad it is? I'm stuck on level 63 for Four years here now. So I am ready to take my chances. Can anyone share interview tips or salary ranges?
The worst parts which are probably not unique though - accumulation of incompetent mid level management, kissing ass , politics and favoritism for promotion, no innovation, few good projects. Good parts - one of the best work life balance, good salary and perks being fortune 1. Good place to park ur self if u r that kind of personality!
Every preconceived notion I had about Walmart labs: confirmed
What team ? I can help ..
Rand random, can you share any comp numbers for principal product manager role?
What's the TC for a principle PM at Walmart labs?
Tarbooj, can you share your experience in case you went ahead with the interview? Also any salary numbers will be very useful if you have done any research. I'm interviewing for a principal product manager role.

If your team does daily standups, your manager is a micromanager
It's Walmart, roll up in a Rascal (with tip assist) and a 'fuck you' ballcap with ill fitting, oversized jeans, should fit in just fine. Bonus points if you walk into the interview with a full 52oz Xtreme Gulp from 7/11.

Really? Have you been to a Walmart recently?
