I work for a small business under the Quicken family of companies in Detroit, Michigan and the collective culture is absolutely soul crushing.
It seems like the model is to hire impressionable graduates, overwork/underpay them with promises of great futures and then replace them with the next batch of kids from the surrounding universities.
I’m very succesful in a leadership position but I just can’t take part in the toxicity anymore. It permeates every startup in the city and I really want to leave for California or New York.
Can anyone help with a referral or even just advice for an executive level marketer?
