I am a SAP Software Developer(ABAP, JavaScript, Web Services) for 6 years. But, lately I am seeing a huge decline in SAP technical jobs( primarily due to offshore consulting and lack of innovation from SAP). Additionally, I dont enjoy it anymore as it's more of a monolithic language and I want to be relevant and work on newer and more accepted technology stack. In other words, I want to be a better Software Engineer rather than limited to a particular tool/vendor. Is it too late to get back to Software Engineering jobs. I am currently learning Python as a start as well as leetcoding.(it's going very slow because its been so long I visited core CS concepts). If I start applying to non SAP jobs, how do I position myself as the job descriptions of Bay area jobs require a lot of skills and languages to be on your repertoire
