At what stage of your career in tech do you start upgrading your daily office attire to include blazer/suit?
Once you've lost all your technical skills and need shiny things to convince others to take you seriously.
Suit? Never.
After retirement?
Jeans.... But switched to shirts once promoted to principal :)
If you're a manager, you need to dress at least one level fancier than your team. At least 2-3 if you are a figure head/customer facing.
