Anyone knows how’s wayfair interview process with cases, and how’s compensation? Applying to L4 PM
Any updates fellas? I'm getting pings from Wayfair recruiters. What's the TC offer like at Wayfair for an Amazon L6 PM?
It wasn’t that good. I ended up going to a different company which matched my AMZ salary. Also the wayfair process was messy, people with asshole, attitudes which really threw me off. Good luck!
Do you mind sharing which company? If wayfair cannot match AMZN pay then I’ll spend my time elsewhere.
Surprisingly a medium size company not very well known. But what are the chances...
Wayfair needs to uplevel to exceed Amazon pay, which is feasible in many scenarios. If you are more honest about your expected compensation ahead of time, it should make the conversation after the interview much smoother. It's much more difficult to evaluate candidate for higher level after the on site.
First year TC was as follows for a new grad PM with an MBA: 100k base + 15% annual bonus + 5-10K relocation + 700 RSUs (totaling 80-85k at current stock price) vesting over 4 years and paid monthly. Since you are a lateral hire coming from Amazon, you'll land a much better deal. I can't comment on what's much better. Another data point is that a Senior PM would have landed a TC of about 190K (again that's for a fresh b-school grad). Cases aren't difficult really. Just try to break down the question and use critical thinking. These are ecommerce cases, you won't have any design or estimation questions really. Culture sucks. Quality of talent sucks. Profiles of people suck. Talk to a few people from Wayfair, especially the new hires, who would be more willing to share an honest review and you can also do a quick search on LinkedIn to see what kind of people you'll be working with. It is uninspiring really. However, the stock has been growing like crazy and there is huge room for growth. You won't get that kind of growth staying at Amazon because you've already hit a massive market cap.
Sorry, I think I messed it up, I’m going for a senior PM position, mostly to get rid off this know-it-all L7 managers in Amazon that totally uninspired me. Talking to the director and direct Mgr. In wayfair gave me hopes of growing professionally. I know it sounds crazy but money is not a huuuuuuuge priority right now after the living hell I am living in my current job, so I’m really hoping to land this wayfair job. If I miss FAANG companies, I’ll come back! If you have any tips pls share them with me!!! Thanks a lot :)
Sure, send me a dm
