I feel bad that people aren’t entertaining me for < 1 YOE

People know shit culture at amazon still no one helps the person who is in trouble.

I wish I could roll back time and reject the offer and stay job less for couple of more months to find a stable job rather than accepting and regretting.

Waiting to complete 1 year so that I am hireable in front of others.

I am helpless and depressed as I am not able to allocate enough time to prepare for interviews which are coming because of workload.

I am in vicious circle of misery.

I am in data domain so I am not getting enough internal transfer opportunities and external too as data domain is overcrowded and JD asks for 3-4 yoe

Think of Amazon like bootcamp. Once you survive this everything else is a cake walk and you'll be that much more appreciative of things. You crawl thru 100yds of shit and come out clean on the other end. Best of luck escaping Shawshenk!

Just give it a bit more time. I’ve only been at AWS for a year. I like it, but I can see why some don’t. At the 1 year mark at Amazon, start applying at other good tech companies—if nothing else just to keep your interviewing skills sharp. If something clicks—take it and don’t look back. If you don’t get any hits, try to move to a different team within Amazon. There is SO much available at Amazon. Media, entertainment, architecture, databases—GAMES, creative services, fashion, etc. No other tech company has the depth and breadth of Amazon. If you still feel the same at the 18 month mark—jump ship.

      Don't lie OP

Come to Intuit. We don't ask about why you left a role, only evaluate you based on the skills we are selecting for.*

*(This is what is supposed to be done, can't account for every hiring manager remembering the training. That said, there will be multiple people on the hiring panel.)

Hey, there is no such thing as 1 year. You can always think of creative ways of explaining it and that's ok with most interviewers ( coming from someone who hire a lot). A few things to think of - location (need to move to xyz place to be close to family), commute (currently long hours commuting, need something closer ), industry change (realized that I'm more interested in fintech as it helps solve real financial challenges - change this based on your industry interviewing for), kind of work (looking for more challenging work, beaurocracy - can use this if moving to startup).

Never settle. Keep trying. You will make it through.

It's horrible to read about such toxic culture of Amazon. I don't even ask now about more details. Hopefully this won't get spilled to other companies!
