WeWork jump
Any Uber/FB/Google person who moved to WeWork? What’s the approx jump you got? And level up?
Moved from FAANG. They can match base salary but not all the extra benefits (food, 401k, etc). More opportunity for growth, definitely easier at the same level (e.g. senior to senior). No bonuses and no stock refreshers means you'll likely be making less in total.
Yah the recruiter backed off when I told them my expectation which is good. Let’s not waste anybody’s time.
Just a read a bunch of posts on WeWork, seems like they don’t pay very well.
I think it depends on the team. I received an offer from them recently that was quite competitive.
I’ll also note that I was expecting them to come in much lower than they did based on what I’d read here. I think they’ve increased their offers to attract stronger talent.
Engineers are definitely going to be lower on average. I know this for a fact. There are exceptions of course. Mgmt is likely gonna be more competitive. At least in my dept.
