Ive been walking around downtown SF all day and I’ve noticed that very few people wear tech company logos. A homeless man actually confronted and started cursing at me when he saw my tesla logo shirt. Is there an unspoken rule to not wear tech shirts in SF, or am I jumping to conclusions?
I sometimes run into tech haters in the city. a lyft driver I had once started berating tech when I told him we had an all-day offsite
Bruh what is your stop loss order?
Maybe because swag looks bad.
Whenever I see a group of people wearing company swag in SF it reminds me of frat culture.
No one likes a tool
There’s just no point. Other engineers will likely look for reasons to look down on you for working at the company on your t-shirt, and resentful non-tech Bay Area resident hate tech workers anyway and will be vocal about it.
I've been cursed by numerous homeless people on the streets of SF and I never wear corporate apparel.
Don't be that guy.

More like #ThirdWorldProblems, which parts of SF look much worse than.
