Zillow vs eBay
I have some offers and came with 2 choices: Zillow and eBay. I'm an iOS developer with 4 YOE, mostly working on Swift. I'm leaning toward Zillow because they are also using Swift and eBay is using Objective-C. Which company do you think is better for an iOS developer? Current TC: 80K Zillow: 260K - P3 Fully remote eBay: 280K - SDE3 Seattle (Changed to fully remote like Zillow) Edit: eBay comes back after knowing Zillow offer, eBay also put me to fully remote. Will eBay turns the table here? #zillow #ebay

I'm living at my house in a small town in Washington, 2 hours driving from Seattle

I would say Zillow. Don't just look at your current TC, compare the two companies after your next two promotions. And yes objective-c is terrible

Congrats, why didn't you jump sooner? That's low TC with 4 years. I vote Zillow, real estate is happening rn & you like their stack.
I want to but have 2 new borns 2 years ago, really busy with them and a full time job. Start practicing and applying last year when they hit 1 year old, took me 1 year to find a new job though. Ye I’m leaning towards Zillow too and many people agreeing with you with the poll

Why does Blind always look down on eBay? I think they are doing pretty great so far.
I guess that’s bcs of the competition they are against and how the competition has fared over the last few years. Curious to know more as well
