Meaning, out of all SDEs at Microsoft, or in any given org, what’s the target ratio of Principal SDEs to Senior to SDE2s to SDE1s? What about 66/67 vs 65? For example, at least in my org, at Amazon I’ve seen something like this: SDE1: ~40-45% SDE2: ~40-45% SDE3: ~5-10% PE: ~2-8% #microsoft
