What Direction Should I Go In My Career?

Hey Everybody, I’m looking for some guidance as to what my next steps should be for my career. Here’s a little background about myself... Graduated from St Johns in May 2017 with a BS (Sports Management GPA: 3.89). Directly after graduating I started working full-time as a sales rep with a company that I interned with in College. I stayed there for around 6 months then left to take a chance and took a contract role/inrernship at Salesforce for another sales role. After that I tried medical device sales but hated it and quit after 5 months. After leaving Med device sales I returned to the orginal company I worked with right after college and have been in the same role for almost 12 months now. I’m looking to take the next step in my career and I’m very interested in the Salesforce Platform. Throughout the last year I got my Salesforce Adminsitrator, Advanced Administrator, and Platform App Builder Certifications. I am trying to break into the Salesforce ecosystem and I’m trying to figure out what the best path would be. 1. Do you all have any advice for someone looking to break into the Salesforce ecosystem with no experience in that field? How to become a more desirable candidate? 2. What is the best career path: Salesforce Admin, Developer, Consultant, etc? 3. What TC should i am for? Stock options? Thanks in advance for any insight or advice!

You can look at joining Consulting companies like Accenture, Slalom, Bluewolf, Capgemini. They have ample amount of opportunities for people with 1-3 years of experience. It is up to you what lane you want to follow— Developer or Business Analyst. Also, you can look at joining small company as Administrator and then build your career from there. All the best!
