What are people who work 80 hours a week actually doing?
Apparently nearly every engineer at Tesla works this much even interns. But that’s 16 hours of work a day. When tf do you relax cuz you have 8 hours to commute, eat dinner, take a shower, sleep, etc…
In a normal relaxed job let’s say you have 20 hours of real work a week outside meetings. At 80 hour work weeks you basically doing week worth of work in like 2 days. But then what exactly are you doing next for rest of the week? what kind of tasks are you actually doing? How do you not burn out after like 3 weeks if you are working that long each week? I have so many questions.
Tc and yoe:

Amazon tc: $70 an hour if you count housing

Cleaning up the mess 40 hours, working on actual deliverable remaining 40 hours
I'm kidding. Not 40+40 but definitely more than 50 each week
