I feel like the point of a web portfolio is to grab the attention of the viewer.
This one is just really bland to be honest. I want to be impressed with a web portfolio not be presented a text heavy case study, save that for when it’s requested in the interview process.
Having said that, I think this is pretty ehh for even a case study example.
Tough crowd! But I agree, biggest purpose for the web folio is to grab attention, then give just enough background and not drown me in it. Can always follow up later for more info if the team wants it.
For me, if what I read and see is practical and not just a fluffed up pretty visuals / fancy presentation of a website, it actually makes me believe the designer may actually be able to design, and not just look like they can design.
