Hi All, Merry Christmas & Happy New year in advance. Hope all of you are enjoying the vacations. I have google on-site coming up in a month. It will be really helpful if someone can help with the factors which decides whether person has to be hired as L3 or L4. Or if some one have some insightful experience to share, it will be really helpful. YOE : 4.5 TC : 22 lpa (india- all fixed ) (30k USD) #google #interview #l3 #l4google
System design, and obviously you need to pass your coding rounds.
Yeah right. recruiter have given choice for opting out of system design. I am not going to give system design. All problem solving rounds only.
But won't HC committee downlevel if someone chooses all algo rounds and say one round goes bad. On the contrary taking system design would be more helpful for L4?
I ask myself two questions when I interview people: 1 Are they competent? 2 Would I work with them? You need to be able to write code that looks like it would compile with minimal fixes. You need to be able to talk through the problems and solutions. Don’t be an arrogant shit. The standard really isn’t that high, it is more that most candidates are bad, either due to nerves or actually being bad (my guess is 30/70 split on that one). Just pace yourself and work through each problem bit by bit.
How much leetcode and what other prep would you suggest
Thank you. It helps.
G will do everything they can to give you L3 even if you did well on design round. 4.5yoe is not enough for L4 in most cases, this times they give L3 to 0-6yoe easily but they will take your experience in account in case of money, yearly rise etc
If you do well on all interview rounds they will give L4.
Leetcode count? I think need to solve follow ups too
140 as of now. 20/110/10 easy/medium/hard.
How much are you planning to solve? It looks like low numbers to me tbh
