Now that stocks are crashing and few companies getting slandered by media, what companies do you think are tier 1 as we enter 2019 in terms of pay, prestige, wlb, benefits etc?
where is Uber, you piece of s**t
Amazon as tier 1? 🙄 lets be more objective
Amazon is on its way to dominate Google and FB in ads.
No matter how much amazon dominates in each market they’re in, it will never change the perception people have of working at amazon. Part of the reason it will not change is because amazon doesn’t care to change this part of their brand. In fact, they promote it. They praise frugality, and their motto is scarcity breeds creativity. With that said, I think working for amazon makes you VERY employable. Think about it, if you were running some arbitrary company... wouldn’t you want to hire employees who are already trained to act in this way? Call the company what you want, but you can’t knock the hustle.
You'll always be tier 1 to me op
Yes, when it comes to shitty salary data!
Snap
i keep reading tier 1..2..3 and L4,5,6 offers .. excuse my ignorance but can someone fill me in what these stand for or link me to a resource? 🙈 thank you!
L4,5,6: internal company levels at Google/Amazon (e.g. senior, principal) see levels.fyi Tiers is some less tangible perceived company quality (prestige/perks)
Tier 1 means maximum prestige
What's the criteria? TC? Useful brand name to have on your resume? Interesting and meaningful work with smart colleagues? Something else?
Oracle seriously?
the ones I can’t get into😂
I hear Cisco is great for life work balance
Cisco is great before you want to retire
Lol Cisco is great wlb but also great layoffs every year. Folks with wlb get laid off soon enough
