Lots of people on Blind make lots of money. I'm starting to accumulate quite a bit ($2.5MM) and not sure what to do with it. (Sorry, I don't believe in charity). What do you guys do with your excess capital? I have it invested in stocks/ETFs, but after a while it feels like it's just sitting pretty and I'm not living life to the fullest. Younger, I was excited about financial independence (FIRE) but now I realized that working is pretty fun/easy, and I can still do whatever I want on the weekends. I've already traveled around the world on my vacation days, so no need to do that again. Learning from people in the similar boat would be helpful! TC: $367k
YOE? Could you please say how you got to $2.5MM?
I spend 10% of my TC, save 3%, and then donate the rest after taxes.
Check out /r/fatfire and see what they think.
Buy a nice car and house. Start decorating the house then problem solved.
I say your goal should be to hit $10-$20mil. $2.5mil is great don’t get me wrong but you still have to be somewhat cautious of how you spend your money. Once you start raising a family you won’t feel as rich.
You could consider founding a startup.
Get a few mistresses. Have wild parties.
OP - how old are you? Any kids or spouse?
Kids and spouse add up too. Have lots of kids, soon even your $300 tc won't be enough.
He definitely doesn’t have kids. Only a single person would think $2.5 mil is too much money to know what to do with.
