Inspired by someone's earlier post about the boring Seattle engineering men dating scene, was wondering what kind of gigs engineers do outside of work?
Asking this because I recently came to the same realization about myself - that by working at tech I almost forgot about how brave and inspired I used to be while in high school / college, and how the daily engineering routine almost dumbed me down into a lifeless coding monkey (or gorilla). This thought almost made me sick, and I started to actively come back to the activities that used to define me.
I'll start with myself:
Aspiring drummer, used to do digital painting and animation, film making.

Read philosophy in spare time.
Learn about ancient history( currently learning about the downfall of the Roman republic) and go visit some of those places.
Oh and I have zero social life. My best friends are mostly in the Midwest and the east coast. :/
