JPMorgan has wide variety of careers. Software Engineer, Business Analyst, Data Analyst Where are ML engineer's roles and responsibilities? Following Blind's traditions TC - 21k USD Location - India
Hey, associate AIML individual contributor here. Heavily depends on your line of business, but a lot of experimental projects. The firm sat on a shit load of data sets for years and now they're starting to use them. Most of the focus is toward automating jobs of auditors/data analysts and predicting trade failures/violations. Stack leans toward python/TF typically. More than half of my work is trying to understand 30+ years of data, why it's collected, who could benefit from me using it. TC: 96K US
all they do is mess with tensor flow and not understanding the underlying fundamentals of ML behind it
We do stuff interesting, google DeepX, we also do normal things like fraud detection or data wrangling! It is like other company that tries to apply ML you live in your own microworld and try to solve predictive problems with yet another tool.
my colleague is an ml engineer, according she just builds pipeline for data transformations using python
Also take into account that everyone wants to say that they have ml and ai, so there could be missnaming too.
Depends on the team, in a 250k people company someone has to do the etl pipeline!
I love people here on Blind. I got much more clarity now. Thank you community.
One of my college professors for machine learning is also Director of ML for trading. Pretty sure his team is working on more than just mundane stuff.
They do their job 😂
