Does it also count the peer pressure and high exception of the company in? For example, your boss and colleagues leave at 4, and being very flexible WFH anytime they want(2/week is the norm), no meeting day once a week, nobody cares if you show up as long as get things done, environment is trusting and supportive. But your colleagues are all very smart and productive. Your boss has a high expectation on you too. There is an inner pressure that keeps you work and study at night and weekend to make yourself more confident at work. Is this still a good WLB? (Btw, this is not Amazon. Don’t get me wrong)
Work load balance
I think for most of us, it just means working less
At Microsoft we have life work balance problem.
Oracle too!
I don’t mind being challenged. Even to where I have to put in more time to keep up with team, as long as they’re not workaholics. That’s only going to make me better in the long run. Bad WLB is where time in seat is used as a proxy for results, or where the team isn’t better than you, just working way too much. My nightmare is a job where I can be there from 8a-5p and work in an ultra-focused way to be 100% (or more) productive as someone there from 10a-8p...and still get dirty looks when I head home. Fuck that noise.
Design a Work Load Balancer 😂
WLB = work less, bro
I am guessing ppl who voted yes are my smart and productive colleagues. 😂
Women Load Balancer.
