Is it lower than a VP at Chase? I want to know TC for both Tech VP and Non-Tech Ballers! Please share below~ My TC: 140k
Doesn't 3 yoe get you a VP title at banks?
Not at Capital One. Mgr > sr mgr > director >sr dir> then VP roles. Other banks seem to have vp every where.
5y you become "eligible" then they have these really political promotion committees. More likely 7yoe on average. It is a level people are considered leads or managers at. But yeah TC at that level is like new grad in SV
Is it even possible to be at JP Morgan and not being a VP? Never heard of such a case
Most branch managers at banks automatically get a VP title, it means nothing. The true VPs are several levels above them and make about 20-40x as much money.
J.P. Morgan vp = <200k Tc . It’s <=L63 at microsoft
Vp is like $160k for tech, maybe $180k at highest
Nope. Typically much higher.
Idk I received an offer and declined. Role was in Delaware
It depends on the team. For example people in Citi who worked on Citicoin made a lot more then people working in other tech departments. I don’t think it can be generalized.
What State are you in now? Which bank, what level and what was the offer? I’ll help you if I can.
For a lot of large companies with footprints in the Bay Area and elsewhere, putting someone at VP is the only way they can get HR to allow the base comp. I interviewed with someone about an SVP role for Citi Labs, but the responsibilities we more in line with and IC Manager level at Capital One.
What's the TC for that
The Citi SVP role was like $185k base. Not sure TC
@OP. What state are you in? Also what sort of VP are you (meaning are like PWM, Tech, Bank Operations, etc.) ? I ask because if you’re only getting $140K TC in the Bay Area it sounds like you’re getting screwed to the wall...;-)
I know associate makes 80000K 🤣
You did not get the context https://www.teamblind.com/article/Evaluate-my-Morgan-Stanley-associate-offer-30pYvy45
Whoa that’s rough...
