I would guess there would be some layoffs as well due to this.

Typical networking company going through the pains of “digital transformation”, speaking as an employe of one of those said networking companies it will be serious and massive and could determine the long terms success of Cisco. No company is too big to fail and if Cisco wants to continue with a growth trajectory they have to make some adjustments
