Saw on Databricks job requirements : "An understanding of the value of Asha bubble tea to engineering productivity" What exactly it means ? #jobs #databricks
It means hiring manager is from Taiwan.
Someone trying to be clever. And failing.
Asha Tea House sells bubble tea in SF, not too far away from the Databricks office. The person who made that requirement was making a joke about them liking to go and get bubble tea.
1. The Manager is Chinese or have been to China . Or the team is predominantly Chinese who introduced bubble team to larger team 2. At Databricks you would be served Asha Bubble tea while doing night outs. 3. The office is situated near Union Square in SFO

It's a cute "we have culture lol so quirky" thing designed to entice people not looking for a souless corporate drone environment.
