What happened to Crunchy Roll?
Interviewed there and each time it was super chaotic, engineers who were supposed to meet up were suddenly on vacation/sick. One of the interview was supposed to be on skype so took some hrs off but they just called instead. People have been griping about mgmt and a ton of eng were laid off according to glassdoor. The people that are left didn't look very happy. Their blank stares were like "Donnnnn't do it!" Not to mention the damn dogs all running around... UGH. I am a pet lover but really?
I know the workplace. The work is really good. Management sucks. If you are on H1b or pending permanent residency, I wouldn't recommend at all as they will keep on delaying immigration related processes until the time you give up and leave.
I interviewed for Ellation which crunchyroll is under and my impression with the team was okay. They couldn't really answer some of my basic questions as if they were hired for the sake of needing manpower or just didn't really know what's going on.
What kind of questions did you ask them?
Read similar on Glassdoor. Can't get anybody to respond on LinkedIn myself. Weird company that I wished ran more smoothly, for anime sake.
