How do they merge the new company? What do they do for current employee benefits and salary? Do they have people interview?
Really depends. Sometimes they go via interview - some people don’t make it, others just getting leveled and their org structure is aligned to the big fish company. Other times, it’s just business as usual. No brand change, no org structure change, comp stays the same mostly, RSUs and options if any, recalculated at ratio and given in big fish stock units.
A grammatical error
Isn’t reinterview cruel? Someone would have stopped preparation and spent sometime to learn and contribute through their work and now they fail.
Yea but I can't see a top tech company being okay with lower quality employees unless they keep the comp and benefits the same for the company that was bought
They paardy haaaard!
They make eng re-interview to keep their jobs and then usually up their pay if they make it
That's rough for people who don't make it
