Long story short, I'm unhappy with my company's culture and their issue in promoting hard workers.

I have been here about 2.5 years and got my master's in aeronautical engineering from Stanford before that. I work in aerodynamics and support the sales org at my company.

Interned at biomed company in Tel Aviv, interned at United Airlines.

I bust my ass at my company and am an L2, but want to leave aerospace for an industry (like tech) where the TC is higher and it's fast moving. Not opposed to moving to a start-up in aerospace as well. Any recommendations? Located in Seattle.

Look at Cruise, Tesla, or Blue Origin for a transition. Will be easier than pure software tech companies given your background.

Or there is always amazon, maybe in their prime air org. But tread cautiously there.

Leave the industry! I left it too. It pays peanuts and people think aerospace is some "wow field". It really isnt. Try google's air taxi projects or amazon prime air

with a standford degree i would look for some where else, not very bright future with boeing as they tend to lean toward seniority and not valur new talent.

Boom Supersonic in Denver is paying $120-150k for engineers, which definitely beats the 3.1% raise category. They're on the leading edge of revitalizing supersonic airline travel. I know they're partnering with United on some of it, so that internship could pay off as well. Forbes also included it on the "Best Startup Employers 2022 list".

As someone who grew up in Colorado and spent the last 4 years at JBLM in Tacoma, I can say Colorado and Washington are very comparable states as far as quality of life goes. Colorado has better snow sports, Washington has... Well, Mt. Rainier never ceases to blow my mind.
