I currently work at the AMD Toronto office developing GPU drivers, but I feel I am underpaid at about 78k CAD. I really enjoy system level software development but feel like my salary is peanuts compared to people I work with on the West coast. Is there similar work in Toronto that pays more with a Bachelors and 2 yoe? Or is my salary fair for my yoe? I recently interviewed at Apple and this got me thinking about my salary (didn't get the job despite 8+ interviews that seemed to go pretty well :( ).
100k
In Toronto 60k-85k is considered good range at this level
Your salary is peanuts compared to them unfortunately. Canadian devs need to wake up. Toronto is just as expensive as major US cities with higher taxes and a lot of devs arent even cracking 100k CAD, let alone USD. Take advantage of your TN visa opportunity and get a gig in Seattle or Bay Area.
Hello op, shall I DM you
Try Nvidia CA? You will get 200k USD
