so, like my handle says, there's that!! i was hoping more experienced 12+, and senior, and staff, and senior staff, and principals would be able to suggest better. particularly those that moved into FAANGs as laterals after significant years of experience elsewhere. experience - 15+ java, includes 8+ android. obligatory tc - zilch, never crossed (years of experience times a factor of ten-thousand) got referrals and submissions to FAANGs!! it's not about how many lc-hard you solved, how many strategies you know to approach solving a white-board challenge etc etc. there is something more that sets apart a candidate for @google l5, l6 roles, or @facebook e5, e6, or @msft 63, 64, 65 or @lnkd staff and senior staff etc. it's not about the hc and hm, and bar-risers either. hell, it's not about the interview process figuring out my proficiency and efficiency et al. it's about me knowing whether i fit the bill, and if there's gaps how do i detect them, and how do i work to fill them, as in, what resources can help me improve personally and professionally, and help me present myself absolutely suitable. how do i know what i should work on so i can present myself so well and so convincingly that the only outcome is always a strong-hire?
You sound like a Fox news host..
Well the answer is leetcode and system design and communication skills and business sense lol You basically just said, what’s 2+2? It’s definitely not 4, so what is it?
This is hard to read. Short answer is personal hygiene, being pleasant and leetcode
Witch hunt!
I had a stroke reading this
The good news is that even if you're massively downleveled and low-balled by a FANG company, you'll still see a big hike in your TC.
Sorry to hear this, my friend. Hope things get better for you. You have to be a code monkey to get into faang at any level. Most senior folks who fail to get in fail in these rounds. If you're serious about getting in, you have to do this.
