Why does Facebook always get into troubles regarding data privacy. You would expect a 10yr old social network company to have become experts in that domain. Why can’t they seem to get their shit together if they are so smart. Beats me 🤔
Because all the money is in violating it

It's not that easy as said. Application privacy and data privacy are very different problems and especially if your core business is based on advertising. I'm sure there are very smart people and it's not as if they are not doing anything. They must be working very hard right now on these issues.
Well said! There are smart people working hard to fix the problems we have, but it's more easily said than done. Despite all recent hate, a healthy network is important to achieve long term goals for Facebook.
I understand that hate and hysteria in the media and general population. I don't understand how fellow engineers don't get this.
