New grad position Current TC:0
It’s ridiculously hard to get in as an L3 new grad. Very few L3s are hired. But if you make it, you make close to what seniors at Booking do and well above seniors at most other Amsterdam companies. Heck, interns at Uber make more than some seniors in Amsterdam. L3 TC is around €85K/year. If you have a masters or PhD more like €90K. Plus perks on top of the salary like €3.5K/year Uber Eats credits, gym allowance, healthcare + travel insurance for you and family (€3K/year for the two). And usually after 1-2 years you make it to L4 with all the mentorship in place, which is more like €110-120K/year. Just getting in is the super tough part...
Wow that's a pretty nice offer! Why is it so hard? I only did the first online assessment (hackerrank) and they were 3 leetcode hard. It took me the whole 3 hours given and the third one I didn't manage to make it work fully (but I think most of the solution was there). Recruiter told me usually candidates take one hour to finish it. I thought that this was pretty much impossible and that these people are copying.
It’s not impossible, many people do it. You need to prep for interviews like this: difficult for Uber is the same as Google, Facebook, Netflix etc. Comp is similar as well, especially in Europe (it’s actually somewhat higher to Facebook London). Also, if you copy, you get caught and are thrown out of the process. Buy Cracking the Coding interview for tips and/or do Leetcode. Practice. A lot. Good luck for other ones or a next time!

Tipping culture is really getting out of control! Waiter gave me ‘a look’ because I tipped her 10% for ‘BAD service!’
I expect something around 60k-80k. But I would also like to know. Interviewing there for same position.
