What are the changes between analyst level to MD in terms of the ratio?
In my office it’s pretty bad. Not gonna say exactly what it is though to not give away where I’m located
I work in a small boutique in SF, and the entire firm - analyst up to partners - is entirely male. The only female in the office is an administrative position, which doesn't help the traditional male-dominated perception of the industry. Pretty surprising as well given the plethora of women's events in banking that is trying to recruit a more diverse workforce.
Pretty consist 5-10% ratio at my shop with ~20 investment bankers historically and currently. Given the limited number, can’t really make any conclusions about ratios at each level, but our applicant pool for analysts (resume drop via LinkedIn) with like 300 resumes had under 10 women afaik. Not sure why the gap is that high... I could see some difference based on personal choices between genders but not this magnitude of a gender gap
Probably because they aren't interested?
Pretty bad. There actually are some females 😔
Gee, and people wonder why women don’t pursue careers in tech.
Yes, everybody knows girls can't take a joke. Also biological preferences.
The Technology department is more than 50% female... It's close to 55 or 60 percent. However, historically the coders are mostly male and the BA/QA/PM folks are mostly female. We're working to change that by cross-training while maintaining benefits like flexibility and unlimited FTO. I don't know what the asset management part of the company is like
Depends on the job family at Capital One. For example HR is mostly women even at exec levels. Tech is mostly men and other job families are in the middle. I don't know for sure but would guess 25-35% of execs are women
1:4...
This is a stupid question
Why is it a stupid question?
In tech teams, from 1:8 to 1:10.
TC?
Why do I keep seeing this on so many posts? Please humor me as I’m new to the app. What is the meaning / purpose of this?
TC= total compensation. It’s a blind etiquette. I didn’t use it but generally it’s TC or gtfo.
