What is the typical scope of work for L7 EM at Google

I got a L7 EM offer at Google GCP . Currently I am L7 SDM at Amazon with 50 member team. What is the typical org size of L7 EM, how many L6 EMs do they generally manage, how many sub areas/programs they generally lead, major criteria for promo to L8 and typical duration, do they lead product team or just swe.

    Google EM L7 scope is much lesser that Amazon L7. Amazon L7s are expected to function more as GMs, while Google EMs are purely Eng leaders. I've seen L7s with 7 ppl to 50. From 2 subareas to 5 or more. Greater than that goes into Dir level. Depends on the org.
    Of course you'll get paid more.

    L7 EM can be anywhere between 20-100 people. Although, at 70+, it's getting into director territory.

    I am L6 SDM and going to interview for L7 at Google. They are doing Management Fundamentals and System Design first to decide whether I will be L6 or L7 at Google or not. How was your interview? Any pointers you can share?
