What is up with Uber Eats customer service lately?
I used to order from both Doordash and Uber eats a lot. Anytime I run into an issue or delay, either would refund or cancel order for free.
Lately though, something happened to Uber eats's customer service:
1- There is no longer a way to chat with a customer service. They make it difficult to reach someone.
2- I had a delay for an order(Like an hour from the time they were supposed to get here). When I reached out to someone, they said the order will arrive at the time shown on screen....YEAH, that time was an hour ago. They refused to refund or cancel. I picked up the order myself!
3- Someone did not deliver the order recently. They also refused to refund.
Looks like I will be using only Doordash from now on. But what the heck happened to Uber eats?

Really makes me think twice about using DD. I was willing to pay their insane fees for the convenience of not having to leave my house, but if there's a good chance I'll need to spend 10-15 minutes chatting with a support agent anyway to get mistakes fixed, that really kills the incentive.
It sounds to me like you've overdone this and have run afoul of their algorithms that detect refund fraud. Have you abused refunds?
TLDR: you're no longer considered worth refunding.
Looks like they need to work harder on their detect refund fraud algorithm.
