Changed how youtube thumbnails are displayed Changed how search results look made it way difficult to reopen closed tab on Chrome and many more that I don't remember top of my head I know they run experiments before launching most of the features. But these days they tend to change it just to change it or is there a rationale behind it
In some of the cases, it's monetization, in others maybe change for change's sake.
Reopen closed tab? I’m about to change this man’s life forever. Shortcut is “ctrl/cmd + shift + t” on Windows/Mac.
True. But earlier it was just a right click and boom. Much tedious now 🤣
I never used that. Mouse clicks are for the weak!
Day 2 company
yeah I don’t like the new search look & feel
Moved to Bing already. Better experience and having no troubles finding the information I need.
Search, Chrome, Youtube are different teams. They push changes individually. You experience them together. Lot of changes keep happening. You notice a few and miss to notice others. Everyone likes good changes. How do we know which changes are good? It comes from good experience. How do we get good experience? From the bad experiences. Just like Monty hall, you have to keep changing and keep experimenting. You never know which change becomes super hit.
