Hi guys, two weeks ago I saw TechLead posting his first video on his new token “Million” 30 minutes after video was posted and it has 100x today from $1. He has been posting a few follow up videos and I was surprised it gain so much traction. At the time of watching his first video, I decided not to get in, because I watched most altcoins fail and the current crypto market condition is rather rough. In hindsight it was a great opportunity with limited downside and huge upside potential: * TechLead has quite a big influence so initial momentum would be huge, “million” is literally his brand name. * <1% chance of rug pull, because TechLead’s own reputation is on the line. * Each token is backed by a real dollar so token cannot drop below $1, even if everyone sell their positions * More legit than shady coins on shady r/cryptomoonshots and TikToker who gets paid to shill coins and take advantage of their followers. * TechLead’s influence on YouTube would naturally lead to other youtubers in the community talking about it, further increasing the project’s social momentum. I am writing this down to remind myself that even though altcoins on the whole is filled with copycats and scams. Once in a while, you might come across something legit and it wouldn’t hurt to throw in a few grands on day 1 where risk/reward ratio is the best and see where it leads. /Rants over What are your thoughts on Million token and if you hold any positions? Are we going to see more people with influence trying to monetise their personal brand with their custom coin? Is this going to become a trend? Disclaimer: I bought $2k worth today at $95 TC: $160K YOE: 2 Update: price went to $200 and I got out and make 1k in profit
If tech lead is in USA , sec is soon coming after him.
Nah.
Are there any important ways in which this is different than a Ponzi scheme?
Unfortunately most crypto projects have to some degree a ponzi vibe. When momentum dies, coins would go to zero, so that’s a risk
Stay away from such coins. These are mostly pump and dumo schemes. Better to invest in already established coins with future growth potential.
Even established coins are pump and dump. Just timeline is longer.
To an extent, yes. However more widespread retail and institutional adoption might help with that in the future. Also - regulations. Crypto is here to stay so there are bound to be some sort of regulations that come into place to stabalize it. In the long term, only the established coins will stay and benefit from this, IMO.
TechLead has always had a scammer vibe to me.
What reputation? The guy is probably bored at this point and planning to make one big dirty to quit the media business alltogether.
Wait, so, it's already 100x? Was just like 30x yesterday!
Hahahaha TechLead is anything but trustworthy. Put money you can afford to lose into it, but don’t be surprised if you get screwed in the end by a guy who invented a crypto for capitalizing on his YT audience.
Thanks, I have only put in $2k so it’s ok if I lose 99% of it
Where do you buy it? Is it on Robinhood
People still listen to TechLead?
He's the best troll on YouTube! How could you miss all the entertainment?
Easy. He’s not all that entertaining IMO. His early material was informative. After his wife left him and he was bragging about his YouTube income, I tuned out. Now discovering he’s scamming a shitcoin isn’t all that surprising.
the value of token can be manipulated from wallet 1 to wallet 2 with price tag of whatever.
TechLead is a weirdo.
