Completely miscellaneous question as I'm looking for a new microwave. Bought a Panasonic genius inverter bullcrap back in February, now it's May and went kaput. Crappy Panasonic customer service wants me to take it up to a repair center up in Belmont from Sunnyvale (40mins away?) and who knows when I would get it back? Would that even be worth the trouble?! Thankful to Amazon's customer service who let me return it to them even though beyond 30 days. (Shoot, if I bought it in-store at Macy's or BBB, I could just go return it in person no problem. Very appreciative of Amazon's customer service in this case. Thank you, Neha) Now I'm looking at Samsung, LG or some of the other brands but Panasonic still seems to have the most positive reviews and patents on various technologies. Anyways, thank you for letting me rant.
Go buy from costco. Get a Costco gift card if you don’t have membership!
That's true! Forgot about Costco for that. Thanks for the reminder.
Inverter is one of the hardest thing to design for durability. Most variable speed motor die because of inverter failure.
The Costco one. And hell no. Put anything in for 2 minutes and it’s destroyed. Fuck this microwave.
I don’t like to have a microwave around. It encourages unhealthy eating
Why unhealthy?
Same thing with plates and toilets.
Probably gas stove is better. I would prefer using two stones to light fire to wooden blocks and using it to heat stuff. Will also keep you warm during winters. Use amazon dude.
All the reviews still point back to Panasonic. And I wonder if the top, most picked products get skewed that everyone goes with those choices and no others are taken into consideration.
