Seriously though. What is it that makes Netflix be considered a FANG? Is it the pay? The working culture? The innovation (really?)? Free food/perks? I barely see posts talking about interviews and salaries for netflix. When i look at google, amazon, and facebook (and even microsoft and apple) I see big companies with their hands all over the place, fast paced innovation, 50k + employees world wide, lots of career opportunities and growth. I never heard anything about netflix here in blind. It is a genuine question. I have nothing against netflix. I just want to know what makes it a fang. TC: pretty damn low, but I live in paradise and don’t complain. 🏝🏝🏝
You're right, it should be AAMG.
Stock performance The term was coined by traders, Jim Cramer I think
Just read that. Thanks for enlighting!
It should be GAM. Apple, Facebook and Netflix will die in next decade as they have very narrow moat.
Why Apple? Facebook is already dead, but I can't see Apple going away any time soon.
Trust me. Ask people who have moved from Apple to Samsung or Pixel. Tim has announced to stop publishing iPhone unit sales and they are using G's cloud. Buffet is wrong big time attributing high moat to Apple because of IPhones. The tipping point is just around the corner for Apple, Netflix and Facebook and together they will crash the market. Google, Amazon and Microsoft will survive.
N ?
Netflix’s market growth got it mentioned by a TV entertainer that coined the term.
I see! Thanks for pointing that out.
what would you prefer? drop netflix and make it F-A-G 😮
“FAANG is an acronym for the market's five most popular and best-performing tech stocks, namely Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix and Alphabet’s Google. “ Just google it seriously.
I know. I had googled it. But people here keep talking about applying to fang like if they were the top companies. I was looking to get some insight on what would make netflix be at the same position than the rest of faangs, aside from stock
Yes, yes, yes.
I have worked for Facebook and Netflix and also got offers from amazon and apple. I’ll have to say I got the highest total Comp from Netflix hands down
