I'm pretty much over "start-ups" after several years. Yes maybe there's 1 unicorn but finding it and working your ass off doesn't seem worth it.
That being said, most companies in tech that are actually hiring Corp Finance seem to be private (Google, Apple, Amazon, Twilio, Dropbox, etc. just send generic rejections so maybe it's my resume who knows). What metrics do you look for that would make you consider it no longer a startup? Revenues over $100M ARR, > 200 employees, Series D financing, what do you think?
