Looking to move away from the black-box model of human brokerage. Between all the sites like Betterment, Wealthfront, etc...what do you use and why?
Just use an index fund
Skip the robo investor and just buy vanguard funds
100x this.

Schwab is “free” but kinda weird since it will hold ~7% in cash. If you’d hold cash anyway it’s a good option.
Umm, you have that inverted... Robo-investors use the “black-box model” approach.
Maybe. At least they’re consistent and available at all times.
Not a single robo advisor outperformed SP500. Putting all your money in $SPY will beat any rob advisor even without tax loss harvesting, which you can easily do as well by moving underwater lots to any other SP500 tracking ETF.
Just SP500 is a risky one because it tracks 500 of the highly valued (possibly overvalued) companies in the US. When a correction happens, SP 500 will lose more than a Total Stock Market Index fund.
Both are great! I use Wealthfront
