What stocks do people working for Wall Street firms invest in?
Since all employees , consultants and contracts working with Wall St ( Finanace ) firms are bound by numerous Personal Trading Account protocols and rules. What do you invest in for short and long term earnings ( exclusing IRA,401k,crypto, Acorns ) ?
30% of my portfolio in tech, 10% in high dividend stocks, rest in ETFs. Afaik you don’t need to go through compliance for crypto yet. Only crypto derivatives listed in the CME.
How are you able to buy single name securities ? Those are the first to be banned by compliance .....and yes the ones I mentioned in exclusion are not required to be cleared by compliance
Not banned at my firm. Didn’t realize that was a thing. We just have to report any trades we wish to perform and compliance will issue a clearance or block (never got blocked before). From there they give you a window of a few days to do your trade.
I do meet to go through preclearance.
I work in HFT. I only buy EFTs (I've always done that). Long term only.
Are you bound by compliance ? Do you have to get everything precleared ?
Only require preclearance for putting in hedge fund, which I dont do
