Ad spend will fall but conversions will stay steady. Internet ad buyers will realize that they’ve been hoodwinked for the past two decades by the promise of “targeted ads”, user metadata, and experience tracking and stop buying them altogether. Companies that depend on ad revenue will go through a pullback.
