What to do about google host matching Fall 2019 intern

I'm open to working anywhere in any location and have put that in my questionnaire. Also did not request machine learning (read on blind that removing it would help). I have 2 previous development internships and I go to a target school. Entered host matching 2 weeks ago with strong interviews and still nothing. I asked my recruiter today and she said there were more interns than open projects :/ Should I message random Engineering managers on linkedin and ask if they have an opening? Is anyone here looking for interns?

Yes, do that. Just tell them you were approved on Blind

Fill your entire questionaire, you should write a one page essay for both questions.

Already wrote 1800 out of the 2000 allowed chars. Tbh not much to talk about besides my previous work experience since my projects are pretty small (I only do leetcode). I mentioned some specific products but don't want to go into too much detail because I'm really open to anything and don't want to turn people off who think I'm not interested in their team.

Did you end up getting a match? How long in?

If you donโ€™t get a match do they move you to next yearโ€™s pool?
