I am curious to know how does the layoff affect an employee in Cisco (bay area) ? Will the company let go the person the day/week after ? Or they will give the person a buffer of a month to look for a new job ? Will there be any severance package? Has anybody experienced this before or know someone who went to this (unfortunate) path.

Which one do you think will see india grow faster in next 50 years - India democracy or autocracy( with BJP) in power?
Time given
If there is a layoff of 50 or more in California, they have to give 2 months notice or pay in lieu. Usually, companies let you go and run regular pay roll for 2 months. If they offer severance, it will be on top of it.
Change the subject if Cisco is not doing layoff. It's severely misleading
There is a layoff in 2-3 weeks, what are you talking about?
In 2-3 weeks, it’s eoy company shutdown. Are sure there’s a layoff?
