What's a better springboard to other roles? SWE or devrel

I've been a SWE for about 13 years but mostly in finance. Thinking about applying at FANG but not sure for which role. I like coding but I'm not sure it's something I want to do everyday anymore. I'm also interested in eventually becoming a PM or other manager some day, but certainly not limited to those 2. Developer Advocate sounds pretty interesting. You meet tons of different people on the job and it gives you experience/skills you wouldn't get as a SWE that could translate to other roles. Would I have more options down the road as a SWE or in devrel?

DevRel feels very different company to company and may be seen as a lesser position in some places. Moving from SWE to PM, TPM, or EM is usually pretty easy. Interview for SWE and if you don't get it, bring up interviewing for DevRel.

DevRel is absolutely a lower tier.
