https://www.businessinsider.com/emirates-boeing-787-dreamliner-777x-dubai-airshow-2019-11 Seems like the 777X which was supposed to be good new to Boeing, isn't going so well. Will they be overtaken by Airbus in the near future?
777X has a very strong market outlook (Lufthansa + Emirates are carrying it, just to start). I absolutely wouldn't expect a stress failure to derail the program. BA is still long.
11 airplane orders are now options for potential orders. That’s not many airplanes compared to the 100+ order. That could have very well been some Emirates accounting updates that media is blowing out of proportion.
No, Boeing is far ahead of Airbus terms of orders and delivery for wide-bodies, its not even close. Initial production hiccup is almost a given in wide-body segment.
Not sure about specifically wide-body aircraft (would be an oddly specific comparison), but in overall orders, Airbus is ahead of Boeing almost every year since 2013. Airbus sucks at delivering though, maybe better QA?
