    No state tax. If you are in Cloud then this the place to be. Compared to Texas: much better public schools (LWSD), ever green, lot of things to do outdoors. Compared to Bay Area: bigger houses and less price, property tax, lower COL (child care is less expensive and so is the average grocery bill). Compared to east coast and Midwest: no snow and hurricanes. Lived in all places but Bay Area takes the cake in the worst places I lived: spent $1.3M for a shack and state tax was the highest of all the places: sun tax is a thing but people are stupid to burn holes in their pocket.

      +1 to Amazon. But at this point the prices have doubled tbh. Two months back it was $550 per sq ft in Cupertino but now it is $1000+. Bay Area is crazy. Made a mistake selling my house in Seattle (Redmond) and moving to Bay. Houses are 1500-2000 sq ft range and really old. You can get a posh condo in Bothell at 900k

      Seattle houses are definitely better investment in my opinion, I just hate the city

    Nightlife, restaurants, culture. Elsewhere is suburban wasteland like all others in America but with better scenery
